I can also understand your frustration about the fit differences between this bra and your beloved style 9815 that you wore for years. It's so disappointing when a trusted style gets discontinued and you're left searching for a replacement that just doesn't work the same way. The longer center gore you mentioned can definitely change how a bra sits on your torso, and when combined with your shorter torso and shoulder measurements, I can see how the strap placement would be completely wrong for your body.

Having straps that constantly fall off your shoulders is incredibly frustrating, especially when you're used to a bra that stayed perfectly in place. The fit issues you're describing - from the strap placement to the longer center piece - show that this bra simply isn't designed for your body type the way your previous style was.
