I'm really sorry to hear the fit wasn't right and that you had to alter the straps yourself to make it work - that's definitely not the experience we want you to have with our bras, and I can understand how frustrating it must be to receive something that doesn't fit properly right out of the package.

I completely understand your concern about the side band area causing irritation and soreness lately. Sometimes with sports bras, the band construction that provides that secure, no-bounce support can occasionally create pressure points, especially if the fit has shifted over time or if the bra has changed slightly with wear and washing. The side band area is designed to provide that extra stability during activity, but it definitely shouldn't be causing discomfort or tenderness. It's possible the band has tightened slightly or the fabric has changed in texture, which can sometimes happen with sports bras after extended wear.
