I completely understand your experience with the top loop unlinking and gapping forward. Sometimes with front-closure bras, the top closure mechanism can occasionally shift or gap slightly, especially depending on individual body shape and how the bra sits. The top loop is designed to provide that secure closure and smooth fit, but it definitely shouldn't be gapping in a way that makes you concerned about how it would look under tighter tops.

It's possible that the top closure needs a slightly different adjustment or positioning to stay more securely in place and create that smooth, flat appearance you're looking for. Sometimes front-closure styles can require a bit of fine-tuning to get that perfect fit and closure alignment.
