I like the bra but the band is still too big when I measure the way you suggest. I will be able to take it in on the band on both sides, but you need a more accurate way to measure.

It's best to hook the bra closed and place it in a mesh lingerie bag before washing to prevent snagging in the washing machine. You should always air dry your bras. The high heat of a dryer can damage the delicate fabrics of the bra and compromise the support the garment provides.
