Yes, We Invented the Sport Bra

The year was 1975, and the world was tennis crazy as 20 year-old Chris Evert had already won the US Open, the French Open, and Wimbledon. In this year, Glamorise introduced the world's first sports-specific bra: the Tennis Bra by Glamorise.

A new concept, a bra designed for a specific athletic use, Glamorise combined our time-tested fit techniques with some new features designed for tennis players.

The bra featured "tennis action support" and special moisture control cups. While the bra was popular with consumers, retailers were not ready to accept sports bras as a category, and the line was eventually retired.

A few years later, the explosive growth of jogging and the introduction of the running bra finally established the category as we know it today.

Today, We are Re-Inventing the Sport Bra

And now, GlamoriseSport offers modern sport bras for all your different activities and reflects our expertise as designers of active bras for fuller busted women.
